Get Ready For Big Change on August 22

Mark your calendars! Our 2nd annual Big Change Equals Big Change fundraiser is slated for Tuesday, August 22, and you will NOT want to miss it! The fun starts at 6 p.m. at Main Street Gallery’s magical spot along the Leland River, and attendees will be treated to music by Geno and the Big Change Band; hotdogs and brats (featuring authentic Detroit Coney Sauce!) courtesy of Franklin’s Wiener Wagon; fresh and inventive salads; Janiecake’s cupcakes; complimentary beer and wine; and our signature Big Change cocktail for $5. Last year’s event raised $9,000 and enabled us to buy a convection oven, commercial fridge & cooler, and a portable buffet table. This year we hope to raise even more as our need for food continues to grow. (We served 45 meals a week when we founded 5Loaves2Fish in 2020; today the need has grown to 350 meals each week.) We are blessed that the Michael Chetcuti Foundation will be holding a sunset cocktail party and fundraiser to benefit 5Loaves2Fish in Northport on August 18 from 6-9 p.m. Enjoy food by Sugar2Salt, beverages by Baia Wine and Arbor Brewing Company. The Michael Chetcuti Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization which hosts and sponsors events for the sole purpose of collecting donations which are in turn contributed to Northern Michigan and South Florida charities in need. The Foundation has an emphasis on the LGBTQ and under-served communities. The Foundation also produces events that promote visibility, awareness and inclusion for the LGBTQ community.
